Uniform

At Hamilton Grammar School we support the wishes of our learning community by encouraging pupils to wear our school uniform. This has resulted in a very smart, well turned-out group of pupils, who have a strong sense of identification with the school and its values.

We promote and emphasise the wearing of the Hamilton Grammar School blazer.

In addition, pupils are expected to wear the following uniform:

  • White shirt/blouse with tie
  • Black trousers (not jeans)
  • Black/Tartan skirt
  • Black cardigan or v-neck sweater
  • Black footwear
  • Plain dark jacket

Tracksuit bottoms and jeans are not an acceptable substitute for school trousers, and sweaters with large logos are also unacceptable. Pupils are reminded not to wear a denim jacket or a hooded sports top.

School Blazers and S1-S5 ties can be purchased from Scotcrest on Quarry Street. More information can be found on their website.

S6 ties can be purchased from Pupil Support.
