Learner Pathways

As pupils progress through the curriculum, there are points at which they personalise their experience to suit their aptitudes and abilities.

There are key points where these decisions take place, at the end of S2 into S3 where pupils start to specialise in areas of the curriculum, and S4 through S6 where annually pupils select which qualifications they will embark upon. To support these transitional points, the school provides a range of support materials for pupils. These are made available to pupils and families via the student's Year Group Google Classroom which includes the submission form. Additionally, a copy of the majority of these materials are available below.

S2 into S3 Option Choice Process

Until this point, all pupils have been learning across all curricular areas of the Broad General Education. At this juncture we allow pupils to focus on a more specialised curriculum whilst still maintaining the breadth of Curriculum for Excellence.

Senior Phase Qualifications

The S4-S6 is referred to as the senior phase of a pupil's secondary education. Each year, the range of qualifications on offer increases. The pupil's again should access and complete this process from within their Year Group Google Classroom. The range of support materials varies each year.
